3 More Wake Ups and then its GO time!

The countdown is dwindling... this Friday our vacation begins!!!! I have so much to do this week, but it will all be worth it. Nothing is packed although I have lists of what to pack for the kids and the outfits they are wearing each day. And of course, I still need to pack for myself and Brandon. However, I know it will all come together in the next few days. No worries on that front. At least I won't be able to say I have nothing to do this week and will help these next couple of days go by quicker. We are SO excited and ready!! Friday morning cannot get here fast enough! Let's just hope all of the car traveling goes well especially for Scott. We are in no rush either days of driving so if we need to stop, we will stop. Looking forward to getting there :)

Our vacation rounds out with a quick stop home to SC. Next Friday, we will be departing from Disney World and heading up to SC for the weekend. I am excited to get there too! It has been since August that we have been home and are looking forward to being back even if only for a few days. That Friday night Brandon and I will be going on a date and YAY for that! My parents are graciously watching all 3 munchkins so that we can enjoy a nice dinner. I know we will be ready for that after a week full of kid themed meals at Disney, ha! Saturday is also going to nice.. we are having a Doggette family get together at Tasha and Donny's house. I cannot wait to see everyone! It has been way too long and so excited for them to get to meet little scooter :) Unfortunately on Sunday we will have to head back up to TN :/ Boo, already not looking forward to that. Hopefully, we will be back down to SC before too long again. Very blessed and grateful to be able to spend these 10 days with our little family... we have been waiting for this vacation since August.. and so excited that its almost HERE!!! :)

2 Months Old!

How did this sweet little baby already turn 2 months?!?! Time sure seems like it is FLYING by this third time around and it can stop any day now :) Little scooter is doing so well and growing and thriving. He has continued to roll over a few more times when he is on his tummy. He now has great head support and won't be too much longer till he can start sitting in his Bumbo seat. Scott is also cooing and babbling.. its so cute. He loves attention and for anyone to talk to him. We are still adjusting to getting him on some sort of schedule. Unfortunately, not every day is the same in this house but some days are better than others. Scott's feeding schedule is set... he is up to 4 ounces a feeding... sometimes he has to eat every 2 hours and other times he can last 2 1/2 to 3 hours... and even longer at night. He is still not the best sleeper during the day but his nights are typically good. He is not "sleeping through the night" yet but has done about 5 hour stretches a few nights. And his mornings start between 6-730.. he is usually up for a feeding around 6 and most mornings he goes back to sleep for at least another hour. I just have to remember every baby is different and leave it to the third to shake things up a bit, ha!

Here he is at the pediatrician's office yesterday afternoon for his 2 month check up. His stats are 13 pounds 11 ounces and 23.5 inches long. He is in the 90% for his weight, 70% for his height and 50% for his head circumference. Needless to say, he is growing and developing on track! Poor baby had to get 2 shots and we will have to go back next week to get two more that they were out of this week. Scott definitely cried but was easily soothed with his bottle.. thankfully his feeding was at that time. He is still in size 1 diapers although weight wise he could up to a size 2 but I tried one on him last night and it was still a little too big. It probably won't be too much longer and he will be in 3-6 month clothing as some of his outfits and pj's are already getting a bit snug. Very blessed to have such a healthy, happy baby :) Next doctor's visit will be for his 4 month check up in April.

2 Weeks to Go!!!

Ahh... this time two weeks from now we will be spending the day at Hollywood Studios at Disney World!! We cannot wait :) This family is SO ready for a vacation. A whole ten days of nothing to do but make memories, have fun and enjoy ourselves. This mama is looking forward to days of no chores, cleaning, laundry, nothing... it will really be a vacation. That's why we love going to Disney World... everything is taken care of and we can honestly just relax. Since there are only 12 days until we arrive in Disney and thus only 11 days till our vacation begins, I thought I'd share the remaining of our vacation itinerary. Here's what is on the agenda for days 4-6.

Day 4:
Off Day
No parks for us, just going to some yummy and fun places to eat, exploring more of Downtown Disney as well as our hotel. We also plan to spend some time poolside.

We start the day off right by hoping on the Monorail to head over to the Contemporary to enjoy a fun breakfast at Chef Mickey's. Lunch will be at the Planet Hollywood in Downtown Disney. Then we will be walking next door to the Grand Floridian for Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner at 1900 Park Fare.

Day 5:
Animal Kingdom

Magic Hours 8-9am
Mickey's Jammin Jungle Parade 345

This is always a fun day with lots of animals to see and exploring to be done. It is also a more laid back day at the park for us because there are only a few rides we can do as a family and we also try to catch one of their live shows. Kilimanjaro Safaris is a must do attraction! We also plan on enjoying the Wildlife Express Train, TriceraTop Spin, and Its Tough to be a Bug. Our goal is to also see either Festival of the Lion King or Finding Nemo - The Musical. Breakfast that day will be Donald's Dining Safari Breakfast at Tusker House which is inside the park. We will be having lunch at Yak & Yeti, a favorite of ours. We will be heading back to our hotel after the parade and will have dinner there at the Kona Cafe.

Day 6:
Hopper Day
Magic Kingdom and Epcot

Our morning starts off with a character breakfast with Lilo & Stitch at 'Ohana in our hotel. Then off to day 2 in the Magic Kingdom. We will be eating lunch at the Liberty Tree Tavern before catching the Monorail and heading over to Epcot. We are looking forward to checking out the World Showcase and enjoying some our favorite attractions such as The Seas with Nemo & Friends and check out some new ones like Spaceship Earth. Our dinner that night will be in the country of Morocco at Restaurant Marrakesh.

Kids at Play

This past Saturday we went to Nashville for the day and had some fun exploring at the Adventure Science Center. We had never been to this place before and we all had a lot of fun! It was crowded but there was plenty of room and three different levels so it didn't feel quite so congested. They even have a little preschool play area that is more geared to the six and under crowd. That's where Henry found the train table, ha! The exhibits were all very interactive and educational. While the kids were still too young to grasp all the museum had to offer, they both enjoyed being there and we easily spent three hours there. We liked to that they had a Subway on the 2nd floor in their cafe so we were able to break for lunch and afterwards go back and play some more. All in all, it was great fun for the whole family and Scott did so well hanging out in his stroller. We will definitely be going back there again! :)

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day!

1 Corinthians 13

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails.

13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Brandon surprised me with beautiful roses, yummy chocolates and an amazing meal at the house. I could not be more blessed to me married to him and very thankful to be able to spend another Valentine's Day together.

Henry's Birthday in Pictures

This picture is a bit blurry. It was hard to get him to stand still, ha! He loves this lawn mower and could not wait to start playing with it :)

Chowing down on his yummy birthday cupcake!

Henry is 2!!

Wow, can't believe my little boy is officially 2 years old!! He had a great birthday on Sunday. We spent most of the day around the house. He laid down for his usual nap and while he was sleeping, Brandon came home from his camping trip and we put together his presents so he'd be surprised when he woke up. We got him the Radio Flyer My First Big Wheels... he is always trying to ride P's bicycle and knew he wasn't quite ready for a bike that size just yet. So far, Henry likes it but uses his legs more to get where he wants to go instead of putting his feet on the petals and pushing them. I know he will get the hang of it soon and will utilize it greatly this spring and summer. We also gave him the Little Tikes Gas n Go Mower. He loves the thing! We bought for him to use in the backyard or out front but he's been playing with it upstairs for now. Both toys were definite good choices. He was gifted money from our family and he used some of it to buy some new trucks because Henry can never have to many, ha! I baked him chocolate cupcakes with chocolate icing and he loved them :)

Henry had his 2 year old check up yesterday. He was such a ham while we were there and of course had at least one truck in tow at all times. He weighs 36 pounds and is 37 inches tall. That puts him off the charts for his weight and at the 95% for his height. He is definitely our BIG boy! But he is following his same growth curve and on the right track. The doctor was pleased with his growth and development. He won't have to go back till his 3 year old check up. And the best part of the visit was that Henry was all up to date on his shots so NO shots for him... he and I were both happy about that :)

4 Weeks to Go!

Well folks, the countdown is dwindling down and we are now under a month until our Disney vacation begins! Exactly 28 days till we arrive at the Happiest Place on Earth... although we leave in 27 days to start our traveling journey down to FL. Since we are getting closer to our trip, I thought I'd share some more details about our upcoming vacation. We depart March 2 and are driving a little over 8 hours to get to Cordele, GA where we are stopping for the night and staying in a Holiday Inn Express. We know we will not be able to make the entire 14+ hour drive to Disney World in one trip especially not with a 2 month old on board so we are breaking it up. This gives about 6 hours on Saturday which works out nicely to arrive at our hotel around check in time of 3 pm. Then the fun and festivities begin! We are staying at the beautiful Polynesian Resort which is located in the Magic Kingdom area as well as the Seven Seas Lagoon. Our itinerary as well as dinning reservations have been planned out meticulously. Although we've edited our dining reservations a few time, I think our final plans are set and there's no turning back now, ha! Since we will be there a total of 7 days, I'll just share days 1-3 in this post and continue on about the other days in a future post.

Day 1:
Arrival, Check in, Downtown Disney

After checking in to our hotel and settling into our room, its off to explore Downtown Disney. We plan to do a little bit of shopping before heading over to T Rex Cafe where we have dinner reservations. It will be an early night for us so we can gear up for the next day!

Day 2:
Magic Kingdom

Magic Hours 9pm-12am
Afternoon Parade 3pm
Electric Parade 7pm
Fireworks Show 8pm
We have a FULL day at the park planned. But thankfully our hotel is very close to the MK and we can just hop onto the monorail if we need to retreat for a little while before getting back into the action. Our meals that day consist of breakfast at the Crystal Palace where we will get to meet Pooh and his friends. Then lunch at the Plaza Restaurant and dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table where we will get to meet the Princesses.

Day 3:
Disney's Hollywood Studios

Magic Hours 7-10pm
Pixar Pals Countdown to Fun 3pm
Fantasmic! 7pm
This is another full day at the park for us but there are more shows for us to see then rides that we can actually all ride so even though it will be long day, it shouldn't be too daunting. Our must do ride is Toy Story Mania.. it is awesome and cannot be missed! We love to see The Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage show as well as Disney Junior and the Voyage of the Little Mermaid. We are also staying in the park and using dinning credits to get special seats for Fantasmic! which is a special and unique water & fireworks show. Our meals that day begin with breakfast at the Hollywood & Vine where we get to meet some Disney Junior characters. Then off to an Italian lunch at Mama's Melrose and a yummy dinner at the 50's Prime Time Cafe.

Little Scooter

Because who can resist this adorable little guy?!?!? He was very active and alert this morning. He was cooing and smiling. I had to get a couple of pictures! He is growing way too fast for this mama. Scott has also rolled over twice now from belly to back... Craziness! He is getting much more scheduled at night and maintained about 3 feedings during the night and about a 630/7 wake up call. Can't believe he is now 6 weeks old :)
