Come on March 14 :)

Henry's Birthday Party Pics

Henry turned ONE!!!

Well cannot believe a year has gone by this fast and Henry Clay Doggette is now one years old!!! He is officially no longer my baby but a babbling, crawling, smiling, happy toddler :) He had his one year old check up two Mondays ago and I am thankful to report he is growing well. His stats are as followed:
* 32.5 inches long (off the charts in this category)
* 25 pounds
* 48.5 centimeters for head circumference
He had to get three vaccinations plus the second dose of his flu shot. Henry was not happy about that but quickly recovered! He also had to have his finger pricked and his blood tested for iron levels. Unfortunately, his iron was low and the doctor put him on a daily multi vitamin to try and bring up the levels naturally. She also prescribed Zyrtec for his constant runny nose and congestion in hopes that its just allergies and can be maintained through meds. We have a follow up visit in March for both of these problems. Hopefully he will have a total clean bill of health then!

This past weekend we traveled home to SC for the long President's week to host Henry's first birthday party. We held it at my parents' house and invited family and close friends. It was a great together and I think everyone had a good time. Henry was not so sure about the singing of the happy birthday song or all the attention.. and he definitely did not dive into his cake but he thought it was delicious when I fed it to him, ha! Henry made out like a bandit with all the awesome presents everyone gave him! All in all, it was a great party and an enjoyable weekend all together :)

Disney Blog #1

We are less than 5 weeks away from our week long vacation at the happiest place on Earth... DISNEY WORLD!!!
I am VERY excited for this vacation... our first true vacation as a family of four!!! Even though P has already been to Disneyland twice while we were stationed in California and Disney World two summers ago (August 2009), its still an exciting, new adventure for our family to embark on. I cannot wait to get there!!!!

Peighton is 4!!!

Cannot believe that I have a 4 YO little girl!!! Time is flying by!!! Peighton turned 4 two Saturdays ago on January 29. We lucked out that her birthday fell on a Saturday and were able to have her party on her actual day! We were also blessed and excited that Daddy was home this year to join in the celebration.. he has unfortunately missed the past two birthdays due to schooling and deployment. So we celebrated big this year with a real party for Peighton. She had two of her friends over.. Ella and Kahlen. The theme was Disney Princesses.. that is P's current obsession focusing on mainly Belle (I cannot count how many times she has seen Beauty and the Beast since receiving it for Christmas). We decorated the house with balloons, streamers, galore. It was a beautiful day and the weather was gorgeous. The kids got to play outside some. We also had pizza for lunch (another one of P's favorites). The girls had a craft to work on and then it was cake time!!! And of course P had a princess cake courtesy of Kroger's!!! However, she is just like her mama when it came to the singing part.. she was very shy and didn't not like the attention on her. She wouldn't even blow her candles out!! The cake was yummy though!!! After that Peighton opened her presents... she received a Hello Kitty throw blanket and bathtime Ariel doll from her BFF Kahlen. Her friend Ella gave P a new tea set and her friends JAK and Merritt (who couldn't make it to the party) gave her a candy ring maker set (P is very anxious to try it out, ha!). From us, P got a big girl bike (which she loves and already is a champ on riding it) as well as a Belle doll, a princess fishing game and a new book to read. All in all it was a great day and P had an awesome birthday.. and Brandon and I were wiped out from all the excitement of a house full of kids!!!!
